About the Company
An innovative UAE-based health-tech start-up is preparing to launch a new digital platform providing at-home blood tests and health checks, giving customers convenient access to reliable insights into their key health markers.
The service connects users with leading laboratories across the UAE and offers a smart online dashboard to view and track results over time. Tests cover a wide range of indicators — from vitamins, hormones, and cholesterol to fertility, thyroid, and genetic health — supporting the growing demand for preventative healthcare in the region.
The Brief
The company is seeking an experienced freelance PR and Communications Specialist to lead its launch campaign in Dubai, helping to build awareness, trust, and engagement among consumers and local media.
Working closely with the founder, you’ll develop and deliver a strategic PR plan that positions the brand as a trusted and forward-thinking player in health and wellness innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a 3-month PR launch campaign for the UAE market
Craft compelling stories, press materials, and thought-leadership content around preventative health and wellbeing
Build relationships with UAE lifestyle, health, and business media
Provide strategic advice on brand messaging and positioning
Recommend and coordinate launch activations, partnerships, or events with aligned organisations
Monitor and report on campaign performance and media impact
About You
5+ years’ experience in PR and communications, ideally within healthcare, wellness, or consumer tech
Strong media network across UAE and GCC press
Proven success in launch campaigns or brand-building for start-ups
Confident working independently with founders and senior stakeholders
Based in Dubai or with excellent knowledge of the UAE market
Project Terms
Freelance contract via The Work Crowd
Duration: Approx. 3 months (initial launch phase)
Engagement: Project or part-time retainer (to be agreed)
Budget: To be defined based on deliverables
